When Should You Use Aluminum Foil in Cooking?
Aluminum foil can be used for a variety of purposes in the kitchen. Here are a few examples:
Wrapping Food for Cooking
If you’re cooking food in the oven or on the grill, you can wrap it in aluminum foil to help keep it moist and prevent it from sticking to the cooking surface. Simply place the food in the center of a large sheet of aluminum foil, fold the edges of the foil up and over the food, and crimp the edges to seal.
Covering Leftovers
If you have leftover food that you want to store in the fridge, you can cover it with aluminum foil to help keep it fresh. Simply wrap the food in the foil and place it in the fridge.
Lining Baking Sheets
Aluminum foil can be used to line baking sheets to prevent food from sticking to the surface. Simply line the baking sheet with a sheet of foil, pressing it down to conform to the surface of the sheet.
Making Foil Packets
Foil packets are a popular way to cook food on the grill or in the oven. To make a foil packet, simply place the food in the center of a large sheet of aluminum foil, fold the edges of the foil up and over the food, and crimp the edges to seal.
